Road Code
(13/06/2007)Cyclists, drivers, motorcyclists and pedestrians are all road users in the city. Observing the cyclists code of conduct will protect yourself and protect others.
- Please observe the Road Code. Traffic lights, no entry signs, stop signs…they all must be abided by while riding a bicycle.
- You must give an arm signal every time you change your direction. While riding a bike, your arms become the blinkers: the rest of road users will be able to anticipate your changes of direction.
- Do not get close to parked vehicles. Once a vehicle is parked, drivers usually forget to look through their rear-view mirror before getting out of their vehicle. If you are not careful enough you may suffer an accident!
- Always ride in a single file. Travelling in group prevents other vehicles from overtaking.
- In the city, everyone in its place! Everyone on its lane! Use your designated lane…
